If you’re trying for a “B” this month, you should have 74 points (80%) on your calendar by the end of this week.
If you’re trying for a “C” this month, you should have 56 points (60%) on your calendar by the end of this week.
If your required items show ZERO in Zangle, it’s because all of them have not yet been completed, OR I haven’t recorded your points yet. Feel free to email me.
FRIDAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR POINT RECOVERY. If you are attempting point recovery in the form of a new essay, remember: I will not accept the work for full credit unless I see the Thinking Map essay plan before you write the draft. Make sure to consult me about what you plan to do before starting on an essay plan. I want this to be a useful exercise. Due date for Point Recovery: Friday, 1/14. Limit per day: 1 Point Recovery item.

Did you miss me?
Hope you had a happy Friday and that you did your work and that you’re not coconuts like your teacher, who suffered a plethora of horrifying spelling errors in last night’s homework! Thank goodness you only caught 2 of them. Others included “obsolecense” and “tychoons” and… oh dear, there’s so many, I’ve forgotten them all. Have a nice weekend and enjoy your homework. It’s good to be alive, and learning!

Nonfiction book: Folks, make SURE you understand the requirements (AP Book List tab). Biographies, autobiographies, and books lacking a scholarly bibliography are not appropriate. In AP US History, there may be some exceptions to the biography/autobiography rule; check with me.

Whoa, dude! How’d we get to so many points so quickly? 3 points per week + 20 points for exams (10 x 2) + 60 points for required items due 1/4 = 93 possible. I hope to have required items totaled and graded and entered to Zangle by week’s end.
