AP English III

THE GREAT GATSBY:

Please be ready to recover these points on the day of the Final, if you know you didn’t pass. Reading the book the way I taught you to read is the only way out. Focus on ambiguities you see in the text. I’ve added an “AP Fiction” tab that gives suggestions. You won’t be able, in one night, to follow the instructions to the letter, but it may give you some guidance in studying.

OTHER HOMEWORK:

• A-E WordSmart vocabulary.
• New WordSmart vocabulary, F-L, which will be tested starting in February (not ready yet; stay tuned). A-E WordSmart vocabulary we will begin testing soon using mini quizzes. Your Vocabulary ISN should include thinking maps for all the WordSmart terms A-E you don’t yet know from memory. That includes parts of speech! The new vocabulary list (E-L) is part of the link under English / Lanugage Arts Resources on the right-hand bar, the link that reads “AP English 3 Vocabulary.”
